Drug Crimes:
Drug Trafficking Charges Dismissed
Client charged in a drug trafficking conspiracy by joint state and federal law enforcement. More than 10 defendants found guilty or pled guilty and ordered to serve substantial prison time. The DA agreed to dismiss all charges against my client. There were approx 20 people charged as the result of a federal wiretap.
Drug Distribution Charges Reduced to Misdemeanor
Client charged with distribution of narcotics resulting from a 3 month wiretap. Crimes as accused carried 10+ years in prison. My client's charges were amended to a misdemeanor and given straight probation and received no conviction.
Drug Distribution Case Dismissed
Client charged with distribution of multiple kilos of narcotics.
Court agreed with my legal arguments in a brief and suppressed all the evidence and therefore case was dismissed. (Client was not a US Citizen)
Drug Crime Reduced to Probation
Client on probation for child abuse and felony drug offenses arrested for another drug crime. Based upon nature of the stop and other legal issues charged, the case was reduced to probation only. Had he been charged, it would have been 10+ years in prison.
Drug Charge Amended to a Misdemeanor
Client charged with possession of narcotics for the 4th or 5th time.
Charge amended to misdemeanor and case dismissed after 6 months.
Drug possession charges dismissed
Client charged with possession of large quantity of marijuana.
Charge amended to misdemeanor and he received no conviction and case eventually dismissed.
DUI / DWI:
Multiple Felony DUI Charges Dismissed
Client charged with multiple felony DUI's. After negotiations with the state concerning the evidence client agreed to a term of probation which resulted in all charges being dismissed and no conviction on the record.
Sentence Reduced in Post-Conviction DUI Case
Client was charged and convicted of felony DUI and sentenced to 2 years in prison. I was retained to handle post-conviction case and client was released in less than a week.
Murder Cases:
Life in Prison Reduced to 4 Years in Murder Case
Client was charged with 2nd degree murder for killing his father.
Sentence for this crime carried up to life in prison. The case went to trial and the jury found him guilty of manslaughter and sentenced to minimum of 4 years.
Charge Reduced From Murder to Manslaughter
(Different case:) Son charged with killing his father on the job site with numerous witnesses. Successfully negotiated case from murder to manslaughter and the client received the minimum of 4 years.
Sentence for Murder Reduced dramatically
Client was charged with murder along with 2 co-defendants. Through negotiations and a possible self-defense argument charge amended to shooting with intent to kill and client received a split sentence of 6 years in and 4 years probation. Client served about 2-3 years and was released. (Co-defendant received 30 years)
Sex Crimes:
Molestation Charges Dismissed
Successfully defended a client charged with lewd molestation of a minor. After the preliminary hearing the DA agreed to dismiss all charges. (2007-2008)
Not Guilty Verdict in Date Rape Case
Client charged with "date rape". Proceeded to trial wherein the jury found my client not guilty in less than an hour of deliberations.
Miscellaneous Criminal Cases:
Felony Charges Dismissed in Hazardous Waste Case
Client was charged with a felony for illegal disposal of hazardous waste. Pursuant to legal arguments and negotiation with EPA the State DA agreed to dismiss the case upon payment of a civil fine less than $1000.00 which client had to pay zero. Company paid the civil fine.
Assault Charges Dismissed
Client charged with possession of weapons and assault on a police officer. Charges dismissed after community service.
Sentence Reduced in Embezzlement Case
Client charged in federal court with embezzlement of over $350,000.00. Through internal audit client served less than 15 months and released.
